Description

For handling loads up to 1,500 kg, EP EPL154/185 is a new electric pallet truck with a maximum lift height of 115 mm. The electric pallet truck is designed for fast horizontal pallet movement and to reduce operator effort in day-to-day logistics.

The equipment package combines Li-Ion battery, polyurethane wheels, 1,150 mm forks and pedestrian operation. The EPL154 and EPL185 represent the new generation of electric pallet jacks from the EP Equipment brand. After the EPT 20-15ET set the standard for basic pallet jacks, EP used ten years of experience to develop the next generation. This model can also be supplied on a rental basis.

Features

They come standard with an integrated charger for maximum flexibility and charging from any socket. Alternatively, an external charger can be ordered for charging multiple batteries outside the truck.

The models can be ordered with or without auxiliary castor wheels for greater stability. The system has been improved for better pallet truck stability.

The battery connectors are reinforced for greater protection. The battery pins are protected against mechanical damage, and a steel cover protects the battery from the weather and physical impacts.

No. The EPL154 uses a brushed motor without a sensor. The EPL185 uses a brushless motor.

DC motors have high torque and simple technology, but use brushes. AC motors have no brushes. Brushless motors combine the advantages of both.

About 2.5 hours for a full charge. Opportunity charging is also possible — 10 minutes of charging provides about 7% of capacity.

The internal charger is always with the truck — you can charge anywhere. An external charger is useful when: the truck does not fit into the warehouse, there is no access to a socket, or there are more batteries than pallet trucks and batteries are swapped.

It lasts longer than lead-acid batteries. It can last as long as the pallet truck itself. After many years it may need to be charged more often, but this is not a problem thanks to the possibility of short top-up charging.

Charge whenever you have the opportunity (breaks, lunch). The battery prefers frequent short charges to infrequent full charges. Ideally, keep the charge level between 35–65% or 25–85%.

The EPL154 and EPL185 have auxiliary wheels, so they are more stable. Models without auxiliary wheels, such as the EPT12EZ, resemble the construction of manual pallet trucks and cope better on uneven floors.

Yes, the EPL154 and EPL185 can cover more than 85% of industrial needs. For heavier loads, the 25WA model is recommended (capacity 2.5 t, weight 500 kg). For even larger batteries there is the WPL model.

The battery switches itself off at –20°C and can be reactivated once it warms up. However, the pallet truck is not suitable for direct operation in a cold store due to moisture and condensation problems. A space with moderate conditions is required.

Yes, but extreme temperatures affect the operation and durability of the battery. Do not leave the truck outside in rain, cold or sun.
